What you must take into account

A Bronsgroen share is an investment, not a savings product. These are the main risks. The full list is in the information note and the supplement.

You can lose your investment

You run the risk of losing all or part of your investment, and of not obtaining the expected return.

The dividend is not guaranteed

The general meeting decides anew each year. For financial years 2024 and 2025 no dividend was paid out. Bronsgroen made a loss in both years.

Your money is tied up for a long time

The shares are not listed on a stock exchange. You must hold them for at least 5 years and after that you can request a withdrawal only in the first half of the year. The governing body decides whether it allows this.

No deposit protection

The shares are not covered by the Protection Fund for Deposits and Financial Instruments.

Subordinated on liquidation

In the event of insolvency or liquidation, all creditors are paid first. Shareholders come last and may receive nothing.

All risk factors are in the information note and the supplement: Read the information note · Read the supplement

An energy cooperative is a democratic organisation in which citizens invest together in renewable energy projects. As a cooperator you are a co-owner and have voting rights at the general assembly. Bronsgroen focuses on solar panels on local rooftops in Limburg.

You can join from €125 per share, up to a maximum of €25,000 per shareholder. This allows us to spread ownership as broadly as possible across our cooperators.

The dividend is determined annually by the board of directors and approved at the general assembly (typically in spring). The dividend is then paid to your bank account, usually within 30 days of approval.

After a waiting period of 5 years you can sell your shares back to the cooperative. Free trading on a stock exchange is not possible because shares of recognised cooperatives are not listed. Please consult our articles of association or contact us for the exact procedure.

No. A Bronsgroen share is not a savings product. You can lose all or part of your investment. The shares are not covered by the Protection Fund for Deposits and Financial Instruments, they are not listed on a stock exchange, and on liquidation shareholders are repaid only after all creditors. What we do offer is transparency: the information note, the supplement, the articles of association and the annual accounts are on this website.

You can register via our online platform. You complete a simple form, choose the number of shares and pay by bank transfer. Upon receipt of your payment you will receive a share certificate and access to the member portal.

Bronsgroen does not supply electricity itself. Ecopower does, and only accepts customers who are shareholders, for at least €250, in Ecopower itself or in an affiliated cooperative. Two Bronsgroen shares (€250) meet that condition. So it is a condition set by Ecopower, not a benefit attached to the Bronsgroen share. Bronsgroen receives no fee from Ecopower and cannot change Ecopower's conditions.
