Wind Turbine Bilzen Kieleberg

The first cooperative wind turbine in Limburg, located on the Kieleberg business park in Bilzen. A Vestas V100, 175 meters high, which produces approximately 5,500,000 kWh of green electricity annually — enough for about 2,700 households — and saves more than 2,000 tons of CO₂ per year. Operational since July 2024, officially inaugurated on 8 September 2024.

The project originated from a dream of Herman Stulens in 2014: affordable green electricity for his municipality through a wind turbine in citizens' hands. After a lengthy permit process from 2017 to 2022, construction started in 2023 with delivery and assembly of components in spring 2024.

Bronsgroen participates in this wind project through a loan without ownership rights. You can subscribe to shares in Bronsgroen cv at €125 each. That makes you a shareholder of Bronsgroen as a whole, not of this project. Dividends are not guaranteed: no dividend was paid out for financial years 2024 and 2025.

The project is a collaboration between Bronsgroen, Ecopower and the municipality of Bilzen.
