Godsheide Meeting Centre

104 cooperative solar panels on the Meeting Center Godsheide in Hasselt — a vibrant meeting place where neighbors and visitors come together for various activities, events and gatherings. The installation produces approximately 38,000 kWh annually, covering the consumption of eleven households, and saves around 9 tons of CO₂ per year.

Through the cooperative model, Hasselt residents can become co-owners and purchase locally produced renewable energy at favorable rates. The generated electricity is primarily consumed on-site, with any surplus distributed to other municipal buildings via energy sharing.

This project supports Hasselt's goal to be climate neutral by 2050. Installed in spring 2025.
